Rob King Joins Invico Capital Corporation as Executive Vice President, Energy Investments

Invico Capital Corporation is delighted to announce the appointment of Rob King as its new Executive Vice President, Energy Investments. Rob brings over twenty-five years of experience in energy and capital markets, including facilitating over $1 billion in royalty acquisitions.

In this newly created role, Rob will lead the energy team at Invico, including driving go-to-market efforts as the firm begins raising capital directly into its energy investment strategy.

Prior to joining Invico, Rob worked as the Chief Operating Officer at Freehold Royalties Ltd., a $3 billion public company focused on the North American energy royalty market. In that role, he led corporate development and strategy and served as the executive lead for over $1 billion in royalty acquisitions, primarily in the U.S.

Before joining Freehold Royalties Ltd, Rob spent twenty years at RBC Capital Markets, beginning his career as an analyst and ultimately rising to Managing Director.

“Rob brings a true wealth of expertise and joins Invico at a time when we are looking to grow our energy strategy, both in assets and directly raised capital,” said Allison Taylor, Chief Executive Officer at Invico. “He is joining at an exciting time for the firm as we continue to evolve and seek new opportunities to deliver risk-adjusted income for our investors.”

Rob graduated with Distinction from the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance.
